Efficient Appliance Rebate Program
The Office is requesting proposals from organizations/ service providers/vendors to develop,
implement and execute the State Energy Efficient Appliance Rebate (SEEARP) Program. The selected
vendor will offer an ENERGY STAR-labeled appliances program available
statewide by: establishing the program; issuing and tracking rebates; tracking program results and assuring that older, existing, less
energy efficient appliances will be replaced and recycled.
The Office envisions that the Program will incorporate both existing ENERGY STAR-labeled appliance utility company service-area
rebates and any similar such discounts offered by retailers. As a result of the program, North Carolina expects to help our citizens
save energy, build our States economy, create jobs, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
