Economic Development Strategic Plan
The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit sealed proposals to establish a contract through competitive negotiation for the purchase of consulting services for the development of an Economic Development Strategic Plan for Augusta County. The selected consultant will be responsible for leading this process, while coordinating their work with Augusta County elected and appointed officials, citizens, and staff.
The selected consultant will be expected to provide lead planning services to assist Augusta County in preparing the economic development strategic plan, linking all of the required items together into a comprehensive document that can be used by the County as a roadmap for its economic development future. The Comprehensive Plan should act as a starting point for the project and the strategic plan will be expected to incorporate its overall goals and vision for the County. It will also be expected that the County's efforts to extensively involve its citizens in the comprehensive planning process will be continued. Therefore, it is important that the Consultant allows sufficient opportunities for public comment.
