Ecological Representative: Natural Areas Program
Request for Proposal for an ecologist owner's representative for our Natural Areas Program. Submittals will be accepted from both individuals and firms. Requirements include an undergraduate degree in ecology, biology, environmental sciences, etc., and five (5) years experience in restoration practices; or a masters degree and three (3) years experience in restoration practices; at least three (3) years project management experience; experience with writing ecological management plans and development of habitat assessment methods; thorough knowledge of Midwest ecosystems and native and invasive species, etc. Position requires outdoor work in our natural areas and exposure to the natural elements; primary responsibility will be regular and ongoing assessments of each natural area, development of work plans for each, monitoring of contracted field crew performance, development of management plans, etc.
