THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation for bids, proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. The responses received from interested contractors will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), NCO 23- St Cloud is requesting procurement information for Brand Name or Equal Echo Beds. The VA is in search of SDVOSB/VOSB organizations that are capable of providing Brand Name or Equal Echo Beds for the Omaha VA Health Care System.

BRAND NAME OR EQUAL- Echo Beds

Echo Bed Device Features:
Echo Beds are uniquely made to accommodate the physical needs of Echo procedures and the scanning techniques of the Cardiac Sonographers. The requested Echo Beds must include the following features:
Two drop sections in bed; one on each side of bed. Size of drop outs to be 14 x12 .
The imaging window drop section to provide total access to the apical window and rapid acquisition of post exercise images to optimize parallel doppler angles and completely eliminate any barrier to transducer manipulation.
Must have single pedal braking and steering to allow quick re-positioning of the bed during an exam.
Must have hand controller for one touch position for all electric functions.
Must be adjustable from a low wheelchair transfer eight of 23 and rise to 34 for optimal ergonomic position selected by Sonographer
Must have remote release to allow Sonographer to drop the imaging drop section when ready to image the apical view. In the raised position this allows the drop section to act as a back support for sedation patients for Transesophageal Echo procedures.
Must be able to quickly move to Trendelenburg position during emergency clinical care of patient during procedures.
Must have increased weight capacity of 600 pounds to ensure safety for the morbidly obese patients.
Must provide patient bilateral safety rails.
Sonographer Extension to accommodate a larger seating area for right handed scanners. This extension bracket is stored under the support surface when not in use and is pulled out to attach the Sonographer extension.

*NOTE Acquisitions will only be set aside for SDVOSBs/VOSBs if two or more responses are received with the required information listed above, by the due date specified below.

Only SDVOSB and VOSB offerors are invited to respond to this Sources Sought Notice via email to wendy.hoeschen@va.gov, along with any other questions or concerns, no later than 08/23/2019.

GREY MARKET ITEMS:
The Vendor shall be an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized dealer, authorized distributor, or authorized reseller for the proposed equipment/system such that the OEM warranty and service are provided and maintained by the OEM. The vendor shall provide new items ONLY; no remanufactured or grey market items. All items must be covered by the manufacturer s warranty. The offeror shall provide evidence of its authority to distribute the proposed equipment/system at the time of submission of its quote/offer. Please note that such evidence is subject to verification by the Contracting Officer at his/her discretion.
