EastWest Connector & White Plains Rd Reconstruction Project
The work to be performed consists of furnishing all labor and materials to complete the EastWest Connector & White Plains Road Reconstruction. More specifically, the project will consist of the following:
EastWest Connector: 41,000 s.y. of Base Pavement, 1,400 LF of storm drain and box culvert, plus associated activity.
White Plains Road: 30,000 s.y. base of pavement, 2700 LF storm drain plus associated activity.
A mandatory prebid conference will be held on February 15, 2011 at 2:00PM local time at the Greene County Board of Commissioners office. Any interested party must attend in order to submit a bid for this project.
Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents are open to public inspection at the Greene County Board of Commissioners, Dodge Plan Room, Marietta, Georgia, and P.C. Simonton and Associates, Inc., Greensboro, Georgia.
Copies of the Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents may be obtained by contacting P.C. Simonton and Associates, Inc., 1050 Parkside Commons, Suite 101, Greensboro, GA 30642, (706) 4540870, and by depositing a nonrefundable twohundred ($200.00) for each set of plans requested.
Each Contractor must prequalify for bid by submitting a completed "Statement of Bidder Qualifications" form supplied by the Engineer. Bids will be accepted from prequalified bidders only. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of total amount bid for the completed work.
No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the closing time schedule for receipt of bids.
The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. Award of the contract, if it is awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder.
NOTE: Plans and Specifications must be obtained no later than five (5) working days before the bid date. No exceptions.
