Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation Project
Marin County Community Mental Health Services (CMHS) requests proposals for an Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation project. The purpose of this project is to enhance the capacity of early childhood education and care sites to identify children and families with social, emotional and behavioral issues; respond to the needs effectively in the childcare setting; and assist the families through support and referrals. Consultation and training will be provided for a variety of childhood education and care sites that serve families that may have barriers to accessing services and increased risk for behavioral and emotional problems. Marin County CMHS has a maximum of $180,000 available annually to cover the expenses incurred under a contract to be awarded as a result of this RFP. The estimated start date for the program is May 15, 2009.
