EXECUTIVE ARCHITECT FOR CAMPUS JOB ORDER CONTRACTS
UCLA requests a written response to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the purpose of
selecting an Executive Architect on a Blanket Executive Design Professional Agreement to
provide direction to Job Order Contractors (JOC) for small projects in various new and existing
buildings and locations on campus. A specific list of projects is not yet developed. It is
anticipated that the total construction cost value over a three year period may be in the range of
approximately $2 million to $3 million with each construction job order ranging from
approximately $50,000 to $500,000, up to a maximum of $1 million. However, the selection of
any architect for this project does not guarantee that projects of that value will be executed.
The duration of this Blanket Agreement is estimated to be four (4) years from the date of the
execution of the contract.
The complete request for qualifications (RFQ) packet will be available at
www.capital.ucla.edu/rfq.html starting Wednesday, March 4, 2009. Responses to the RFQ are
due by 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2009. A short list will be determined by a screening
committee; further steps in the selection process will be at the discretion of the selection
committee.
