EWP - Streambank Stabilization - Monroe Road Site, Fairfield Township, Highland County, Ohio
The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, is preparing to issue a solicitation for work authorized under the Emergency Watershed Protection Program to relieve imminent hazards to life and property impacting Fairfield Township, Highland County, Ohio.
The project consists of streambank restoration and stabilization with 809 cubic yards of rock riprap, associated drain-fill, and channel clearing and shaping along Monroe Road.
The solicitation will be a Total Small Business set-aside. Interested contractors must be registered as Active and complete the annual representations and certifications electronically via the System for Award Management (SAM) at http://www.sam.gov in order to be eligible for award.
All necessary permits and land rights have been acquired.
A firm-fixed price construction contract is anticipated under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. FAR Part 13 and 36 apply. A bid bond is not required and there will be no formal bid opening. A Request for Quotes is being solicited, and can be supplied via fax, email, or regular mail. Award will be made to the lowest priced, responsible offeror.
An alternative form of payment protection, either a Payment Bond (SF-25A) or irrevocable letter of credit (ILC), in the amount of 100% of award will be required within 5 days of award.
The solicitation package, construction drawings and specifications will be posted and available from this site on or about June 17, 2019. Requests for quotes, under Simplified Acquisition Procedures, will be due July 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.
A site showing to inspect the site will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 10 am. Participants should meet at the site on Monroe Road, 1.1 miles south of State Route 28. Monroe Road is also known as County Road 15 in Fairfield Township, Highland County, Ohio.
Performance time is 31 calendar days.
Magnitude of proposed construction: between $25,000 and $100,000.
