EVENT MANAGEMENT SERVICES - 5K Run/Walk
The 2008 Turkey Trot will be held November 27, 2008 (Thanksgiving Day) and is the 14th year of the Turkey Trot.
The past three (3) years has shown an increase in number of participants. The City is striving to continue this trend by promoting and elevating the quality of the race. Therefore, we expect the contractor to maintain the highest level of quality and customer service.
a. 2005: 2,500 runners
b. 2006: 3,200 runners
c. 2007: 4,200 runners
The City is expecting approximately 4,800 runners for 2008 if number increase as they have in the past.
Runners have a tendency to wait until the day before the race or day of the race to register which can cause a huge influx of numbers to register.
In the past race day morning we have had 400 people show up to register within an hour of race time.
Race day registration is allowed up to 30 minutes before race time.
