ERIC ( Education/Recycling Information Center)- Design and Construction
The City of Tempe is soliciting proposals for project management, design and construction of a mobile vehicle (ERIC
Education/Recycling Information Center) to educate viewers about recycling and solid waste issues and promote
increased recycling participation. The unit is expected to be the first element of a broader design concept to embody all
elements of recycling and renewable energy sources and reinforce the City of Tempe initiative Waste Reduction through
Education.
The ERIC unit will be utilized to educate the public and provide information and ideas to both reduce the amount of solid
waste sent to landfills and increase awareness of proper recycling practices. Additionally, it will encourage participation
in source reduction, reuse, recycling and encourage the utilization of recycled products, sustainable products and use of
alternate energy sources.
