ENTERPRISE GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM
Mandatory pre-proposal conference call: July 15, 2008
The intent of this request for proposal is to secure an Enterprise Geographical Information
System (EGIS) that addresses the companys requirements for an integrated, standards-based and
open system for Great Lakes Energy (GLE) to replace an outdated electronic mapping system
and various stand-alone databases. GLE has identified three GIS applications that will serve as
the essential building blocks for the new system and provide a basis for its return on investment.
These applications are: GIS Facilities Management; Field Design/Staking and Vegetation
Management. In addition to the Enterprise GIS, the company is seeking implementation,
integration, data conversion and training services in conjunction with the software being
proposed.
