a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) Solicitation number N00104-14-R-FH97. The solicitation is being issued as a
request for proposal (RFP). (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-73. (iv) This requirement is not being set-aside and is being solicited through other than full and open competition on an unrestricted basis, to Fairbank Morse Engine, Beloit WI. (vi) Description of requirements for the items to be acquired: This item is the Fairbanks Morse MPDE for use on the Freedom Variant, LCS 1 AF Class Ship (vii) Delivery by 360 days after date of contract to N60138, NAVSUP FLT LOG CTR Cheatham Annex, Warehouse 1 C Street, Williamsburg, VA 23185-8792; Inspection and acceptance of the material to take place at the contractor's facility, FOB point is Origin. (viii) The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, applies to this acquisition; no addenda to the provision. (ix) Since
this is being solicited through other than full and open competition the provision at 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items, is not applicable.
