ELECTRONIC MAIL ENCRYPTION SOLUTION FOR INFORMATION SECURITY
The District is seeking an electronic mail encryption solution including: computer software and hardware and professional services for the design, installation, configuration, and documentation of the solution. The solution will allow the District to encrypt electronic mail communications between the District, business partners, and customers. The Districts purpose for encrypting the electronic communications is to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and security of sensitive information sent over public networks. The solution should ensure a low total cost of ownership, provide simplistic integration into the Districts existing network and electronic mail infrastructure, and offer flexibility to allow the sending and receiving of encrypted mail from known and unknown sources. The District may incorporate the encrypted electronic mail solution into the customer facing Microsoft .Net portal to allow customers the ability to communicate over secure electronic mail with the Districts Customer Services staff.
