Dry Docking of FS-65 Mary Ann Self-Propelled Crane Barge
1 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
a) The Department of Transportation, U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD), San Francisco, CA intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to one contractor for Dry Docking of FS-65 Mary Ann Self-Propelled Crane Barge for a dry dock ship yard repair contractor located within the San Francisco Bay region. The acquisition is under FAR Part 13.5. The requested period of performance for the above described repair is within 180 days from date of award. Proposed ship check is scheduled for Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 9:00 AM local time at 2595 Lake Herman Rd, Benicia CA. Request for Quotation (RFQ): DTMA94Q140031 closes Tuesday July 15, 2014 at 2:00 PM local time.
b) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. NAICS code 336611 applies. This is a FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION ACQUISTION.
c) The solicitation number is stated above, and it is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-73 dated April 29, 2014.
