Drupal based Website Redesign
The ACLU of Washington (ACLU-WA) is issuing this Request for Proposals
(RFP) to solicit a contract for the design and implementation of a Drupal-based
website for our organization and for the migration of our existing web content to
the new site.
The ACLU of Washington has an existing website at http://aclu-wa.org, built for
us in early 2006. It is a custom ColdFusion CMS running on a shared Windows
2003 Server and an MS SQL 2000 Server Database. The current CMS hosts 16
different document types and contains 726 documents, not all of which must be
migrated to the new system. Part of our existing site also uses Convio to
process secure forms for donations, event registries, contact forms, and action
alerts.
The new system should be based upon Drupal 5 or 6 and run on a shared LAMP
stack. All respondents should be prepared to configure, design and code both
the CMS and the user interface according to the functional requirements and
graphic design principles listed in this document. The Drupal portion of the site
must integrate easily with the Convio portion of the site. Respondents should
also recommend and implement a migration plan from the old CMS to the new
one.
