Dragon Medical Network Edition Software Maintenance Support
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Procurement, Acquisition and Logistics, Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located at 23 Christopher Way, Eatontown NJ intends to enter into a contract on a basis of other than full and open competition for the renewal of existing Dragon Medical Network Edition (DMNE) enterprise wide medical speech recognition software maintenance support from Nuance Communications, Inc. The TAC intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract with a period of performance consisting of one (1) 12-month base period, with four (4) 3-month option periods with Nuance Communications Inc. located at 1 Wayside Rd, Massachusetts 01803-4609, as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1 entitled, Only Once Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Based on market research analysis, the Government s technical experts determined that only Nuance Communications, Inc. was technically capable to execute the requirements. The proposed solicitation number for this effort is 36C10B19R0029. The place of performance for this acquisition is at the Contractor s facility. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 511210 with a corresponding size standard of $38.5 million. The estimated date of award for this action is August 21, 2019.
This notification shall close on August 17, 2019. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
