DoDEA Italy Mass Notification (MNS)
DoDEA, as one (1) of only two (2) Federally-operated school systems, is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and managing prekindergarten through 12th grade educational programs on behalf of the Department of Defense (DoD). DoDEA is globally positioned, operating 166 accredited schools in 8 districts located in 11 foreign countries, 7 states, Guam, and Puerto Rico. DoDEA employs approximately 15,000 employees who serve more than 72,000 children of active duty military and DoD civilian families. DoDEA is committed to ensuring that all school-aged children of military families are provided a world-class education that prepares them for postsecondary education and/or career success and to be leading contributors in their communities as well as in our 21st century globalized society.
DoDEA Europe has two schools located in Naples that require Mass Notification System (MNS) upgrade and warranty services. Naples have two locations with a PA system and some MNS equipment located in 4-5 rooms that does not connect to the main office.
The contractor must provide a MNS Total Solutions to include, diagrams, equipment purchase and installation options, and warranty services for each identified location at Naples, Italy. All MNS must comply with standards located in the Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) UFC 4-012-01, to include the requirement that certain MNS devices must be capable of connecting to a Wide Area MNS presently or in the future. Each location MNS must tie into the installation MNS and local emergency services. The identified DoDEA Schools are leased facilities owned by Mirabella (Naples). The facilities landlord will approve proposal's Scope of Work (SOW) and will be updated by PWD liaisons.
