The Western New York Regional Information Center, WNYRIC, at Erie 1 BOCES provides Common Set of Learning Objectives services to over 100 school districts in 7 counties around Western New York. Each district connects to the WNYRIC via a gigabit Ethernet network connection that also includes a virtual firewall system. The WNYRIC has a separate application firewall for all hosted applications. The WNYRIC is connected to the Internet via OC3 and gig E connections that include a separate perimeter firewall. The new sites will function as a content management and public relations tool eliminating several manual processes as well as for communicating the Districts vision for the future. Districts must have the option to purchase a district solution or a teacher page solution.
