The Naval Air Systems Command, PMA-265 (Program Office for F/A-18 Aircraft) intends to issue a sole- source Firm Fixed Price contract modification on Contract N00019-16-G-0001 to the Boeing Company for the FY19 and FY20 procurement of the remainder of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Technical Directive (TD) development, Integrated Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMS) updates, and VAL/VER kits and installs for DTP-N. An option will be included to procure LRIP 1 DTP-N boxes. The DTP-N program includes technologies that were developed by Boeing that were integrated into a box design to meet F-18 integration and qualifications.
This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 USC 2304 (C) (1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." Boeing is the designer, developer, and manufacturer; and as such, has the manufacturing knowledge, experience, and technical data required to fulfill this requirement within the time required.
