Direct to Plate Laser Engraving Machine (Pantograph Laser)
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) has a requirement for a new Direct to Plate Laser Engraving Machine (LEM) for use in its pantograph operations. The LEM shall include or the direct-to-plate laser engraving process. The turnkey package shall include the required hardware, software, service support, tools and training necessary to maintain production in the engraving process. This equipment shall allow the BEP to remain ISO 9001, or better, compliant and must maintain critical tolerances to ensure repeatability of printed features during operations for currency manufacturing. The Offeror agrees to hold the prices in its offer firm for 90 calendar days from the date specified for receipt of offer/quotation, unless another time period is specified in an addendum to this solicitation.
