Direct Mail Campaign (Design & Services)
NC A&T State University, located in Greensboro, North Carolina (N.C. A&T), is a public comprehensive university within the University of North Carolina system that offers degree programs at the baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral levels. It has one of three engineering schools and one of only two schools of agriculture within the university system. N.C. A&T conducts major sponsored research in engineering, agriculture and other disciplines and offers a broad range of programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
The Annual Giving Office is a component of the Division of Development and University Relations and runs an annual mail campaign. Each year this office is responsible for soliciting constituents throughout the year to raise private funds in support of North Carolina A&T Sate University. The fiscal year runs from July 1 June 30. Currently we have approximately 30,000 mailable constituent records and solicit up to two times annually until we receive a response from the constituent. The constituent base consists of alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends of the University.
In the past, we have used letters, brochures, and self-mailers as direct mail pieces. Our focus has been the following segmentation; previous donors, non-donors, class reunion, faculty, staff, and students.
Each mailing is designed to yield the highest dollar response from each constituency. Our overall campaign goal for the upcoming fiscal year is $2.3M, which shall include gifts raised via telephone, mail, and personal visits.
