General Requirements
Transmitter Manufacturer Requirements
5.1 The Transmitter manufacturer must be able to demonstrate background and experience in
the manufacturing of solid state AM transmitters of the type and power level specified.
5.2 Bidders shall supply a current list of recent customers of their proposed solid state 50kW
AM transmitter, some of whom will be contacted for reference.
5.3 Transmitter system as supplied shall be a complete operating system that includes IBOC
AM HD radio signal.
5.4 Service
5.5 The transmitter manufacturer shall have an established field engineering service technical
support capable of providing 24-hour emergency telephone assistance as well as on site
field service.
5.6 The selected bidder must certify that all replacement parts or an equal substitution shall be
available for a period of 10 years from delivery of the transmitter.
