The Department is interested in learning about existing products and services in the digital content and curriculum marketplace as well as those that are on or over the horizon and thus is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) in an effort to support Indiana schools in the print-to-digital transformation. The Department have provided Indiana schools with extensive flexibility in the area of instructional materials and textbook adoption and have gone so far as to expand the definition of textbooks to include computing devices. This flexibility has created opportunities for innovation but has also propelled schools into uncharted waters.
