The Department of Veterans Affairs, Austin Information Technology Center (AITC), requires maintenance for two generators that are a part of its emergency diesel generator system. Please see the attached draft performance work statement (PWS) for the background, scope of work, performance details, specific tasks and deliverables, and supplemental insurance requirements.
The intent of this Request for Information (RFI) is to determine the number of sources who are capable of providing the required generator maintenance as detailed in the attached PWS. The information obtained in response to this RFI will be used to determine the acquisition strategy.
In response to this RFI, interested firms are requested to provide a statement of capability that addresses the requirements of the attached PWS. Please note that the 1-hour response time for emergency maintenance situations is a critical requirement of the AITC emergency diesel generator system. Interested firms must explicitly detail their capability to meet the 1-hour response time.
It is requested that each response confirm the firms registration in the System for Award Management at www.sam.gov, detail the firms applicable socio-economic status (e.g. large business, small business, service disabled Veteran-owned small business), and provide information on whether the interested firm holds a contract under an existing Federal Government procurement vehicle (e.g. General Services Administration Federal Supply Schedules).
Lastly, it is requested that interested firms provide any applicable past performance details that would show experience in providing generator maintenance services similar to those detailed in the attached PWS. The past performance instances can be from Federal, State, or City Government contracts, or from private or commercial contracts.
Please email RFI responses to reuben.zepeda@va.gov no later than March 5, 2015.
