Die and Mold Design and Manufacturing
Purpose/Description
The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements to design, simulate, manufacture, and test dies and molds to support major weapon system including F-15, C-5, C-130, C-17, and Special Operation Forces (SOF) aircraft. The Government has determined that this requirement is commercial.
The contractor shall provide all labor, transportation (including travel and per diem), equipment, materials and services to design, simulate, manufacture, and test dies and molds. The work will be performed at the contractor's facility with destination testing of the dies/molds at Robins AFB, Georgia 31098.
The Government's initial plan is to issue a seven year (7) multiple award ordering or "D" contract. There is an estimate of 178 dies/molds per year.
Contractors/Institutions responding to this market research are placed on notice that participation in this survey may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their participation in this survey.
Foreign contractors will not be allowed to compete due to Export Controlled data. It is not expected that classified data will be released under this effort.
