Development of a Strategic Energy Master Plan for Energy Efficiency and Conservation

The goal of this project is to develop and implement a Strategic Energy Master Plan
(SEMP), that will coordinate the current and future efforts of the County as well as seeking to
establish best practices of other municipalities currently being implemented throughout the region, and
nationally in regards to energy efficiency, conservation, proper deployment of renewable energy, and
educational programs to inform residents and business as to ways to reduce their energy usage. The
cumulative results of this effort will be a sustainable environment, reduced dependency on foreign fossil
fuels, and a reduction in our carbon footprint.
