Development of a Database of Performance Level Metrics for Detailed Work Activity Statements
The Dept. has embarked on a common language project that uses the Detailed Work Activities (DWA) data concept from the federal O*NET data system. Based on the original O*NET database, the Dept. has reconstructed and validated a new version of the DWA library with Texas employers. Dept is accepting proposals to contract with a vendor to identify and document performance level metrics that will be attached to each Dept within each of the (760) Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) coded occupations of significance in the Texas Labor Market. The performance level metrics will be used to facilitate more precise linkages between employer skill requirements and job applicant capabilities within the TWC electronic labor exchange system and in related applications.
