Developer, Liferay Portal Enterprise Edition (EE)
Through this RFP, the Organization is seeking a Liferay Portal EE developer experienced in all phases of the application development lifecycle from requirements gathering/definition, to design, development, documentation and coding, bug fixes, and deployment.
To start, the developer will plan, then migrate the three Liferay CE 5.0 sites to Liferay EE 6.0. The migration/modification must be forward compatible—to the extent possible—so that as new versions of Liferay are released, subsequent modifications of these portlets are simple.
As part of the migration process, the developer will ensure that existing functions provided by custom portlets written for Liferay 5.0 are maintained in EE (see Technical Annex). This might entail reworking portlets in some cases. In other cases, it might entail modifying “out-of-the-box” EE 6.0 portlets to fulfill those functions.
