Design Engineering Services

The County is seeking Statements of Qualifications from qualified firms to provide design engineering services for the Bicycle & Pedestrian Enhancement Project. Project activities will include scoping, development of the design documentation (Project Assessment), all environmental clearances and documents, and final contract plans, specifications and estimate (PS&E) as outlined by the Department guidelines for Transportation Enhancement (TE) projects as well as in accordance with the AASHTO design guidelines, PCDOT Roadway Design Manual (RDM) procedures that apply, County Natural Resources Parks and Recreation Design Standards and other associated department guidelines and procedures. In addition, this project will require public outreach and coordination with neighborhood residents and citizens, as well as any business communities affected by the proposed improvements. This project will also require close coordination and communication between the various divisions within the County. Lastly, the County will deliver the project using the traditional Design, Bid, Build (DBB) Method.
