Design & Engineering Service for Anthony Park & 5th Ave. N. On Street Parking
The purpose of this Request of Quantifications is to obtain a firm that will provide the design and
engineering for a project listed in the Project Scope below. This project supports the CDBG
Entitlement communities' objective as authorized under Title I of the Housing and Community
Development Act of 1974 by assisting in revitalizing neighborhoods through "providing
improved community facilities."
2. SCOPE OF PROJECT:
The City of Naples is seeking a firm for landscape design, engineering and post-construction
inspection of public facilities improvements with two components.
The first component is improvement to Anthony Community Park. This component
supports neighborhood Park enhancements including landscaping, hardscape and paving
for up to 2 parking spaces in the Park. The landscaping improvements will be to City
owned parcels and associated right-of-way located within the River Park community.
The parcels to be improved are located at 15 Fifth Ave - N, Naples, FL (Folio #
18163520008 and 18163620005) on the west side of the roadway. Related irrigation for
this project is a continuation of work which was completed by the support of earlier
CDBG funding.
The second component is also for public facilities improvements on the south side of 5th
Ave. - N between 10th St. - N and Goodlette-Frank Road. This component is for onstreet
parking and will include up to eight parallel spaces on the south side of the right of
way between 10th and 11th St - N. Related landscaping from 10th St - N to Goodlette-
Frank Road will include additional ground cover and will support additional trees and
palms. Irrigation for the project will originate on the south side of 5th Ave - N, where the
City has an existing reuse water meter and supply.
Design work will include post-construction inspection of both components for completeness and
adherence to design and engineering plans.
This project is being funded by a Community Development Block Grant.
This contract will be for design / engineering and inspection only.
Design should be completed with in 45 days.
