Design/Build New Office Building
The proposed single-level county office for the department of labor will be approximatly 16,000 gross square feet. The building will be sited in business park.
The department of labor office will be used as a starting poitn for programming and will be the base line for construction quality expectations, with no expectation to replicate the design of the building. Additional acoustical treatment will be required throughout the building.
Program spaces will include:
clear span structure with enphasis on daylighting and glar control
vestibules for public and employee entrances
open area for 45 staff cubicles
customer area with approximatly 42 customer computers
reception poitn for 4 staff members
administration/staff copy area with built-in millwork islands
public restrooms and drinking fountains
conference rooms, two large rooms with one acoustically devided
computer lab, 13 minimum work stations
employer's offices 1-2

mechanical, electrical and data under raised floor system with water detection sensors
energy efficiency 30% above code

security system throughout building

paved parking spaces for 140-150 stalls which includes 6 covered stalls for state vehicles
The design-builder will be responsible for final programming, geo-techincal evaluations, designa nd construction including landscaping and connection to all unitilies. A site survey is availab.
