Depot Level Replacement Parts/Technical Support and Repair for the MK3 MOD 1 Series Remote Ordnance Neutralization System (RONS)
This Sources Sought notice is being posted to satisfy the requirement of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement 206.302-1(d). The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NSWC IHEODTD), Contracts Department, Code 02 intends to award a contract for depot level replacement parts/technical support and repair for the MK3 MOD 1 Series Remote Ordnance Neutralization System (RONS) on a sole source basis with REMOTEC, Inc., 353 J.D. Yarnell Industrial Parkway; Clinton, TN 37716. REMOTEC is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the system and is the only vendor that can provide the replacement parts/technical support and repair for the MK3 RONS while ensuring compatibility since REMOTEC maintains all relevant proprietary rights to the MK3 designs.
THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 USC 2304(C)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation will be available for this procurement. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract.
