SYNOPSIS:
THIS IS A PRESOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT TO RAISE AWARENESS FOR POTENTIAL OFFERORS. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR OFFERS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. Please reference Request for Quotation (RFQ) number VA-791-14-Q-0059. The Department of Veterans Affairs Denver Acquisition & Logistics Center (VA DALC), in support of the Veteran Health Administration, Chief Business Office, is contemplating the issuance of a solicitation for health care claims processing services.
OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE:
The objective of this procurement is to award a contract with a qualified vendor to provide dental alloy. Orders are expected to be made quarterly for these alloys.
CONTRACTING OFFICE ADDRESS: Denver Acquisition and Logistic Center, 555 Corporate Circle, Golden, CO 80401.
SOLICITATION DETAILS: This procurement is being conducted under the authority of Title 38 U.S.C. Section 8153, Sharing of Health Care Resources. The North American Classification Codes is 339114 and the Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. This is a small business set-aside procurement for any and all qualified, experienced, and knowledgeable small business entity(s) who can meet the requirements. The Government intends to award a single fixed-price with economic price adjustment indefinite delivery indefinite quantity type contract, within the limitations set forth in the RFQ. The contract period will be twelve months from the date of contract award, with four one-year options to be exercised at the discretion of the Government.
Solicitation documents are expected to be made available no later than 18 August 2014 at the FedBizOpps website at http://www.fbo.gov. NO HARD COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED. The anticipated closing date is 29 August 2014 and anticipated award date is 29 September 2014.

The only terms and conditions that will apply to the solicitation and any resultant contract shall come from the Contracting Specialist/Officer through the release of the final RFQ and any amendments, information received from other than the Contracting Officer to include other VA sources, are not binding on the VA.
NOTE: Effective October 1, 2003, all contractors must be registered through the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) website as an active contractor in order to be eligible to enter into a contract. The CCR website is now part of the System for Award Management (SAM), which is found at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM. Please be sure your company is registered at this website. Due to the limited time offerors have to respond you are encouraged, but not required, to register in advance.
