Demo-Install Washer and Dryer
The 436 Contracting Squadron is conducting this Sources Sought to identify small business contractors who possess the capabilities to provide the construction project specified below and to determine their availability, capability and adequacy. If your firm may be interested in this requirement, is a qualified small business and has performed similar projects, we request the information shown below. An organization that is not considered a small business should not submit a response to this notice. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice. The project will be implemented using the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. Size Standard: 36.5 Million. The applicable classification code is Y - Construction of Structure and Facilities. The project magnitude is between $25,000 and $100,000.

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
1. Provide power to a new washer and dryer; 60 lb. capacity washer and 85 lb. capacity gas dryer, dryer duct booster. 120/208 volt power will be provided from panel P4 and 277/480 volt power will be provided from panel P1 located in the electric room (attachment 3) Replace the 80 amp 3 phase main circuit breaker in panel P4 with an enclosed 100 amp 3 phase circuit breaker to create needed space for new breakers. In panel P1 relocate circuits and exchange unused circuit breakers for new circuit breaker installation. Washer and dryer connections will be cord and plug connected. Execution of electrical work will meet the requirements of UFGS 26 20 00, INTERIOR DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM, and UFGS 07 84 00 FIRESTOPPING as required. .
2. Provide all design & construction work required to enlarge CMU to 7' opening & re-brace opening, repair and replace open/broken CMU's after enlarging opening as well as repair & finish floor/ceiling where wall was removed. Remove 2 locker room entrance doors, extend & finish wall to complete washer/dryer area, repair subfloor/ceiling and install finish floor ceiling tile to match existing locker rooms. Construct new doorway to female latrine/locker room. Follow all requirements detailed in section 4-8
3. Provide all design and Construction work required to install 1 each; commercial washer and dryer and their associated utilities such as: drains/water supply for washer, gas connection for dryer, and dryer duct booster installation.
