Decontamination Kits:
This Sources Sought notice is being issued by the U.S. Department of State (DOS), Office of Acquisitions Management (A/OPE/AQM) on behalf of the DOS Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Countermeasures Directorate, Office of Physical Security Programs (DS/C/PSP).

The objective of this Sources Sought notice is to identify -


1. Alternate ("equal") brands of supplies meeting the requirements below; and
2. Businesses capable of providing supplies, whether brand name or equal, meeting the requirements below.


This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ), or a commitment on the part of the Government to conduct an acquisition for the services in the future. Respondents are advised that the Government will not pay for information submitted in response to this Sources Sought, nor will the Government compensate respondents for any costs incurred in the development/furnishing of a response. The Government will not entertain telephone calls related to this Sources Sought. Please note that a decision not to submit a response to this Sources Sought will not preclude a vendor from participating in any future Solicitation.


PURCHASE DESCRIPTION


This purchase description reflects the characteristics and level of quality that is sought by the Government. These are the salient physical, functional, or performance characteristics of "equal" products being sought. Responses of "equal" products, including "equal" products of the brand name manufacturer, must-
1. Meet the salient physical, functional, or performance characteristic specified in this sources sought notice;
2. Clearly identify the item by-
a. Brand name, if any; and
b. Make or model number;
3. Include descriptive literature such as illustrations, drawings, or a clear reference to previously furnished descriptive data or information available to the Government; and
4. Clearly describe any modifications the respondent plans to make in a product to make it conform to the requirements in this sources sought notice. Mark any descriptive material to clearly show the modifications.
The Government will examine "equal" products on the basis of information furnished by the respondent or identified in the response and reasonably available to the Government. The Government is not responsible for locating or obtaining any information not identified in the response. The respondent shall either clearly indicate in its response that the product being suggested is an "equal" product, or the respondent shall expressly state that it can provide the brand name product referenced herein.


Responses must clearly demonstrate the ability to provide each of the three items listed in accordance with the corresponding salient characteristics. Partial responses will not be considered.
