Background / Description of Requirement:
This contract will consist of the decommissioning of five wells on various properties within North Cascades National Park (NOCA) located in Stehekin, WA. All wells are NPS owned and are cased, stand alone, with all pumps and structures having been removed.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

A.    Wells #164 and #165 are located on Upper Stehekin Valley Road in the McGregor Meadows. Vehicles are prohibited from crossing No Name Creek, wells must be accessed by foot or power wagon size equipment . Contractor will need to apply to the State for a waiver to fill instead or perforation or removing well casing.
B.    Contractor will need to provide a 72 hour Notice of Intent.

All work required by this contract will be performed in North Cascades National Park Service Complex ,Lake Chelan National Recreation Area, Stehekin District,. Stehekin is a remote community located at the north end of Lake Chelan, approximately 50 miles from Chelan, Washington. The Stehekin valley is isolated; the roads do not connect with any highway system. Stehekin is accessible from Chelan only by boat, barge, or floatplane; all materials and equipment will need to be barged. Within the Stehekin valley, the project area can be reached on roads suitable for hauling heavy equipment or near the shoreline via a barge. Lodging and meal services are available on a limited basis. Cellular phones do not work; public phone service at Stehekin is limited to a single telephone requiring credit or calling card; and there is no public Internet access.

Information Concerning the Disclosure of Results
This acquisition is being conducted using the procedures prescribed in FAR Part 13. After the RFQ closing date, no information regarding the identity of those submitting quotes, the number of quotes received, or the information contained in quotes will made available until after award except as provided by FAR 13.
