Database Design and Migration Consulting
University desires to engage a consultant to assist in giving advice for database design and for migration to this new database. The result should be a high-level design and migration plan. Currently the University has a .Net/Windows-based front-end portal that shares data with a CICS-based back-end system. The portal and the CICS-system use DB2 running on Windows and (some remaining) VSAM files on the mainframe. We desire to replace our existing system with applications (re)written in .Net that utilize a Microsoft SQL-Server database that has been redesigned.
