Database Conversion
Purpose: The purpose of this Request for Proposal is to acquire a Pharmacy Licensing and Enforcement Software System to support the licensing and enforcement functions of the Board as well as any related professional service required to convert and/or move existing data to the new application.
The Board desires to acquire a system hosted through the services of an experienced Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider because the Board is not staffed to support the technical requirements of an enterprise-class software solution, because a Vendor-hosted solution shall provide field investigators access to the system from remote locations, and because the Board prefers the pay as you go method associated with SaaS. The Vendor must specify the charge basis under which the SaaS hosted System is being proposed: subscription, transaction, or other basis. The Agency expects a monthly billing cycle for all recurring charges.
The Board desires a COTS (Commercial-off-the-Shelf) software solution for the proposed system. The application should be designed primarily for use by government licensing agencies and, once installed, must allow necessary modifications, such as new business rules and fields, to be performed by the end user .The application must run on current versions of Microsoft SQL server and Microsoft workstation products. The preferred client for accessing the database
application is Microsoft I Explorer.
