Data Communication Services
North Carolina State University (hereafter referred to as University) seeks proposals from
qualified vendors to provide high quality data communications services to serve the diverse
needs of non-University tenants on the Universitys Centennial Campus and on the Universitys
Centennial Biomedical Campus, both located in Raleigh, North Carolina. Up to three vendors
will be chosen to provide services in two categories:
Carrier services
Internet Service Provider (ISP) services
Proposal responses will be accepted for each of these categories; vendors may propose one or
both categories.
The selected vendor(s) will be awarded the status of Preferred Service Providers (hereafter
referred to as PSP). Both Centennial Campus and Centennial Biomedical Campus have a
growing number of international corporations, government agencies, and entrepreneurial
businesses as non-University tenants. Most non-University tenants locate on these campuses to
form partnerships with the University, which has long been a leader in science and technology
research and development. The University seeks vendors who will provide the highest levels of
data communications services for this high-tech community.
