Data Center Power Distribution Unit (PDU) and Tape Room Upgrade Project
THE SCOPE OF WORK For the Data Center PDU:
includes the installation of two (2) new power distribution units (PDU) connected to existing uninterruptable power supply (UPS) equipment at the current Data Center. New bypass input power distribution will be installed to power bypass input connections at each PDU. New connections shall be made to the existing distribution for power to PDUs.
It should be noted that the Power Distribution Units and Remote Distribution Panels have been pre-purchased by the City and shall be furnished to the Contractor for installation. New power devices and connections shall be provided to new/relocated equipment within the data center.
A new ground loop and grid system shall be installed at existing raised floor system with all equipment racks, cabinets, AC units, PDU's, FDC's, cable tray and metallic conduits being bonded to the new grounding system. Refer to drawings for full extent of electrical scope.
For the Tape Room,
the scope of work includes the partial renovation of 500 SF of existing office space and a computer room and the renovation of the existing VAV system in the construction zone. Selective demolition of existing systems will be required.
This work includes the installation of two new precision air conditioners and associated water piping, insulated ductwork, diffusers and controls. The existing air handling system will remain active during construction.
The chilled water system may be shut down during pipe tie-in. This project also includes electrical upgrades to UPS distribution systems. It should be noted that the Power Distribution Unit has been pre-purchased by the City and shall be furnished to the Contractor for installation.
