The University intends to acquire a pair (2 fiber strands) of dark fiber on a provider’s existing network through the traditional Indefeasible Right to Use (IRU) process. The University intends to enter into an annually renewing term IRU up to a total of fifteen (15) years. The University actively seeks Offeror’s willing to build out their network where necessary to reach University endpoints, in a way that is mutually beneficial to both parties. The dark fibers would provide the University with a fiber route. The route will be subdivided into two fiber spans. Each span will need to terminate into the building/room specified in Exhibit 1. The University anticipates installing a 10 Gbps/wavelength capable DWDM optical network using the ADVA FSP 3000 platform on the Offeror’s dark fiber. Dark fiber strands offered by providers would need to meet technical requirements to support this hardware deployment.
