The purpose of this notice is to provide Industry information on the acquisition strategy for the DT-100 Housings opportunity after review of the submitted Capability Statements.

PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION


Per FAR 5.201, this Sources Sought Synopsis is being provided to notify Industry of the acquisition strategy intended for the DT-100 Housings opportunity. The notice on FBO was made under Solicitation Number N66604-18-R-3267.


The Government has conducted a review of the submitted Capability Statements to identify potential sources that possess the technical capability, facilities/equipment and qualifications to meet the Government's minimum needs for the manufacturing, testing, packaging, and delivery of DT-100 Housings build-to-print in accordance with the individual housing drawings.  


The drawings have been made available via the Federal Business Opportunities (www.FBO.gov) site, as a secure posting.  Potential sources must be registered according to DOD Joint Certification Program (JCP) in order to access the drawings. Interested Parties are advised that several of the drawings made available are being revised and will be updated with the final solicitation.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

•·         The Contractor shall manufacture, test, inspect, package, and deliver production DT-100 Housings (i.e., one (1) weldment with protective cover, one (1) top cap and two (2) hex plugs) built-to-print in accordance with the individual housing drawings.

NUWCDIVNPT anticipates releasing this solicitation on an Unrestricted basis, as concurred with by the NUWCDIVNPT Office of Small Business Programs.

 

It is anticipated that the RFP will be posted mid-January 2019.  The resulting contract will use Firm Fixed Price (FFP) provisions.

 

Offerors must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award.  Instructions for registration are available at the website. (https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM)
