DRAGON Cockpit Part Task Trainer
This is a Request for Information (RFI) as defined in FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. The Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) Replacement of Avionics for Global Operations and Navigation (DRAGON) Program is presently modernizing (upgrading) the USAF AWACS platform. The USAF E-3 AWACS is a Boeing proprietary 707-300 platform with primary base of operations and maintenance at Tinker AFB, OK. The DRAGON AWACS upgrade is still in development. The DRAGON EMD FCA/PCA is estimated for the first quarter CY 2017. The Government prime contractor is Boeing. Most of the upgraded avionics and Flight Deck displays and controls are proprietary Rockwell Collins (RC) Flight2TM Flight Management System Suite (FMSS) hardware/software. This RFI is issued in order to identify qualified sources for the development and delivery of a DRAGON Cockpit Part Task Trainer (DRAGON CPTT).
