DNA PROFILING OF ARRESTEE BUCCAL SWAB SAMPLES
The Louisiana State Police Crime Laboratory (LSPCL) will contract the services of one or more qualified DNA laboratory (ies) to provide scientific analysis to determine DNA typing and classification of these biological samples. It is estimated that there will be a maximum of 60,000 saliva samples per year. These samples will be prepared in a consistent manner by trained and certified (LSPCL) staff. One cotton tipped applicator containing buccal cells will be provided in a barcoded envelope to the Contractor(s) for processing and analysis.
