DIGITAL BUS CAMERA SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM RFP
The City of Harrisonburgs estimated requirement is to replace fifteen (15) five camera systems for fixed
route transit and seven (7) three camera systems for demand response service. The system must be
capable of supporting no fewer than eight independent camera data inputs for transit and four
independent camera data inputs for demand response. At least one of these inputs should be capable
of capturing the driver's point of view and have a record speed of no fewer than 30 frames per second.
The remaining data inputs should support cameras that can be installed at various locations throughout
the bus to maximize the size of the environment captured by the system. GPS is required to document
speed, signals, and brakes applied. System reliability will be a key evaluation component.
