DEVELOPMENT OF WEBSITE FOR THE CITY OF GALENAS GALENA MARKETING INITIATIVE
The City of Galena (City) is requesting proposals to design, develop and host a website for the Galena
Marketing Initiative (GMI). In October 2008, the City created the GMI, a seven-member City committee,
to oversee tourism marketing for Galena. Utilizing the Hotel/Motel Tax collected within Galena, the City
and the GMI seek to develop marketing and visitor services programming centered on a robust website.
This Request for Proposals (RFP) seeks proposals from qualified firms or individuals for the design of the
website, the construction of the website, and providing ongoing administration and maintenance of, and
improvements to the site. This will be a concept to completion product.
