Canine Training and Services for Avian Botulism Detection
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. All questions must be sent directly to capplegate@usgs.gov by 08/27/2017. Contractor is responsible for reading the contents of this document and attachments. Quotes will be accepted via e-mail at capplegate@usgs.gov or FAX to (206) 526-6654. Quotes submitted through FedBizOps or FedConnect will not be considered.
The solicitation number is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) G17PS00920.
The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-95, Effective 19 Jan 2017.

Description of Services:
The USGS - Pacific Island Ecosystems Research Center is in need of Canine Training and Services for Avian Botulism Detection as described in the Statement of Work as seen on P. 12 of Standard Form 18. The Government seeks competitive firm fixed price quotes to meet the minimum requirements for a Base Period and four Option Periods.
In addition to a quote, as per FAR 52.212-1, offerers are to include a technical description of the items being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with the requirements in the solicitation. This may include product literature, or other documents, if necessary.
NOTE: Option Periods are subject to availability of funds and continuing need.
