DESIGN / BUILD CEMETERY ENTRYWAYS

The Town will require the services of a professional design build team/firm to develop, design and prepare construction drawings for four (4) cemetery entryways followed by construction of each. Teams shall have an understanding of and experience in working with historically sensitive sites / sites of reverence. Designs shall incorporate concept drawings attached to this package. The columns shall be designed to be constructed on concrete foundation. The columns shall have a grout filled CMU core with structural reinforcing. Bidders shall propose brick that meets the historical intent of the project. Each column shall be no less than 32 inches square. The entryways shall be no less than 14’ wide and 14’ tall. Structurally engineered archways shall be wrought iron material with a rust preventive coating to be proposed by the project team. Alternative metal materials may be considered as long as the visual, structural and weather resistant objectives are met.
