1.1The Nevada State Purchasing Division of behalf The Nevada Division of Welfare and Supportive Services (DWSS) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to leverage technology to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the caseworkers in the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services.
Faced with the growing demand for DWSS services due to the current economic climate, expanding welfare labor force (even if possible) is an inefficient and expensive approach and does not alleviate current pain points of paper handling and cycle times, does not contribute to better customer service, does not leverage Family Resource Centers (FRC) capabilities to the full extent, requires considerable productivity ramp-up (estimated at one full-year for a new employee to handle a steady-state caseload, and would necessitate a material long term investment in new facilities (leasing and maintenance) to support expanded staff.
