NOTICE TYPE: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) in Subparts 12.6 and 13.105, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement with its attachments constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisitions Circular (FAC) 2005-74, effective July 1, 2014. The government intends to make a simplified acquisition, firm fixed price, best value award based on lowest delivered price and technical acceptance. This procurement is a Total Small Business set-aside. The applicable NAICS classification code is 314910 with a size standard of 500 employees.
SPECIFICATIONS: The National Park Service (NPS) has identified a requirement, on a fixed-price, the supply and delivery three (3) Retractable Awning for Denali National Park 'C' Camp, Milepost 237.5 Parks Highway, Denali Park, Alaska 99755.
INSTRUCTIONS TO OFFERORS: All interested parties shall be registered in the System for Award Management or SAM prior to award. Quotes shall be submitted no later than July 28, 2014 by 2:30 PM Alaska Daylight Time. CLIN 1: Alutex Giant (with 14 foot projection) or EQUAL Retractable Awnings - Quantity Three (3) each Unit Cost:_____ Extended Cost: __________ Mandatory salient characteristics SHALL be: -- Awning material shall be Heavy-Duty, suitable for use in a public setting. -- Size of each awning shall be 33' wide by 14' projection. -- Each awning shall include a heavy duty aluminum frame - minimum depth of arm 4 "; minimum wall thickness for extruded aluminum arms shall be gauge 1/0 (5/16"); arm knuckles shall be die cast. -- Each awning shall include four (4) lateral arms. -- Each awning shall be operated by manual crank (electricity for hard-wired motor is not available). Either single crank or double crank -one on each end - is acceptable. -- Provide hood to protect fabric when awning is retracted. -- Powder coated metal frame; color selected from manufacturer's standard options. -- Minimum 10-year frame Warranty for each unit. -- Awning fabric shall be fiber-dyed acrylic fabric, selected from manufacturer's standard options. -- Minimum 10-year fabric Warranty for each unit.
